Shipibo Medallion

This is the first gold plated design, cast into a ceremonial medallion by jewellery designer Dani Hunter. Inspired by Shipibo-Conibo-Ayahuasca ceremony art and jungle, medicine ceremonies from the Amazon region. To remind you that plants are allies, and that we are deeply connected to nature in a web of life. 

Some believe that Shipibo geometric shapes represent a stylised language brought by sacred chants known as Icaros; a mapping of the rivers in Amazonia, communities in the rainforest, a representation of the spiritual world; or the shape of the Anaconda which legend says gave birth to the world.
